K Company Interiors

Mary Gilbert Korth, designer and founder of K Company Interiors, formerly known as Mary Ames and Co., studied at The University of Texas and St. Thomas University in Houston, TX with a focus in Art History. Her love of textures, luxurious fabrics, photography, beautiful hardware, sculpture & maximalist design led her to Los Angeles where she began her career in design while working at the Pacific Design Center. After her time in Los Angeles, Mary returned to Austin where she then co-founded a residential design firm Ashby Ames with former design partner Mark Ashby, later forming Mary Ames & Co.  Over her 26-year experience in residential design, Mary has curated homes and ranches in Austin, Houston, New York, Durango, Santa Fe, Manhattan Beach, San Antonio, Dallas and Johnson City. By mixing her style of unexpected elegance in layered textures, mid-century antiques and classic modern decor, Mary creates distinctly chic and welcoming interiors while always encompassing and reflecting the lifestyles of each client.
